Japanese Mint Oil

Japanese Mint oil is derived from the Japanese mint plant. By removing the oils from the leaves, this popular essential oil is used for a variety of purposes including pain relief, stomach ailments and fighting infections. Available at health food stores and online, this essential oil is also known as Japanese Oil of Peppermint, Field Mint Oil, and American Corn Mint among others names. It is inexpensive and has a cooling, yet relaxing effect on tired and sore muscles. It is said that this peppermint-smelling oil promotes circulation in the area of the body where it’s applied, which is an added bonus for those who suffer from chronic injuries. The cooling, tingly sensation that many experience when a few drops are applied is a wonderful compliment for spot treatment in massage. It is also used for treating rheumatic pain, headaches, sprains, dislocations and other sports injuries.

Japanese Mint Oil is often used for a variety of other ailments, including painful sinus congestion and colds.
